[Dream Lesson] Report from Honai Elementary School in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture

On Tuesday, September 11, 2026, as part of Trail Runners' SDGs project, the "National Mountain Region Future Building Project," we held a "Dream Lesson" at Honai Elementary School in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, as a contribution to the local community around the venue of DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100." The lesson taught students how to turn their passion into a job while remaining in their hometown.

This "Dream Lesson" was implemented as a model project for promoting entrepreneurship education in Niigata Prefecture. Overall producer Matsunaga Hiroaki served as lecturer.

The "Dream Class" was held during the first period. It began with a running clinic in the gymnasium, followed by a talk in which the speaker discussed the profession of trail running, the path taken to choose this career, their personal philosophy and way of life, the values ​​they cherish, and their future goals; a Q&A session concluded the event.
