Our goal is not only to have everyone involved in the event experience a sense of accomplishment and excitement that rivals that of overseas races.
Through many encounters and challenges, we believe that if more people are free to do what they love and live their own lives, the number of happy people will increase. As a result, we will recognize each other and the world will become more peaceful.

The mission of this competion is to create an environment where people can dig deep and reflect upon their own life map, to question why they live, what they live for, and what kind of life they want to lead.

Realization of a zero-emission competition
“We are all a part of nature.”
Trail running, which challenges us to test ourselves while experiencing such a feeling, is an opportunity to realize the importance of the natural environment. In the management of the event, our aim is to elemiate disposable items as much as possible. Our slogan is "The only I’ll leave behind are my emotions.”
We running the event on a system that is not only digitally focused and paperless, but also one that does not generate waste in the first place.
We also hold clean action educational events to raise awareness of the environment and clean the mind by keeping trails clean.
By having participants clean up the site themselves, we create an educational opportunity for more essential consumer activities. This is something that could not be realized by simply hiring a contractor to do the cleaning.

These challenges that may create the opportunity to “change your life” are not only for the participants of our races, but also for their families. The Trail Runners Cup, sponsored by Trail Runners, is an event where families can strengthen their bonds and grow together through trail racing.

We will be a bridge between Japan and the world
With the desire to "let people feel the vastness of the world and expand their own world," the Skyrunner World Series, one of the world's premier trail running series, was held in Awagatake, Niigata, from 2019 to 2022.
MT.AWA SKYRACE is a place where athletes and children, who have difficulty traveling abroad, can experience the real world. Through this event we sincerely conveyed to the world the splendor of the mountains, rural landscapes, Japanese culture and the natural environment, which can be said to be a unique and beautiful trait of our country.
From 2023, the MT.AWA SKYRACE will be absorbed developmentally into DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100 and integrated into one event. Beautiful souls from all over the world will gather, to get to know the deep Japan through trail running, interacting with local people and tasting local products and cuisine. We provide an opportunity for both parties, including the locals, to learn about the new world, realize possibilities, and grow.
