[Dream Lesson] Report from Ishiuchi Elementary School in Minami Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, as part of Trail Runners' SDGs project, the "National Mountain Region Future Building Project," we held a "Dream Lesson" at Ishiuchi Elementary School in Minami Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, as a contribution to the local community around the venue of DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100." The lesson taught students how to turn their passion into a job while remaining in their hometown.

This "Dream Lesson" was implemented as a model project for promoting entrepreneurship education in Niigata Prefecture. Overall producer Matsunaga Hiroaki served as lecturer.

The "Dream Class" session took place during the second period. It began in the classroom with a talk covering my self-introduction, my reasons for choosing this career, the values ​​I hold dear, stories from my childhood, and the challenges I have faced in my work, followed by a Q&A session. In the second half, after doing warm-up exercises in the gymnasium, we moved outside to run around the school grounds while conducting a running clinic.
