On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, as part of Trail Runners' SDGs project, the "National Mountain Region Future Building Project," we held a "Dream Lesson" at Koshiji West Elementary School in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, as a contribution to the local community around the venue of DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100." The lesson taught students how to turn their passion into a job while remaining in their hometown.
This "Dream Lesson" was implemented as a model project for promoting entrepreneurship education in Niigata Prefecture. Overall producer Matsunaga Hiroaki served as lecturer.
The "Dream Class" was held during the first period. We began with a running clinic in the gymnasium, followed by a talk in which I discussed why I chose my current profession and the significance of taking on challenges; the session concluded with a Q&A, where I answered questions from both the students and the teachers.
