[DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100 Official Trial Camp with Kazuyuki Takahashi 2026/05/10, Event Report] On Sunday, May 10th, 2026, we welcomed 15 people to the "DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100 Official Trial Camp with Kazuyuki Takahashi" on the DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100 course. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated, the Iiyuratei, and all those involved.
The stage was the actual course of the DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100, produced by Matsunaga Hiroaki. 35km, 2700m elevation gain courses of the test run camp so that participants could simulate a global standard course designed to allow them to experience the rigors and excitement of an overseas race while remaining in Japan.
While running alongside Matsunaga Hiroaki, who actually set up the course in areas that would be difficult to test run alone, participants were given an explanation of the course and key points for completing the race. In addition, the first champion, Takahashi Kazuyuki, shared with us what is important in an ultra marathon and training methods.

After the event, everyone's eyes looked filled with a sense of accomplishment.
Through this event, we aim to revitalize mountainous regions facing declining birth rates and an aging population. As part of the National Mountainous Region Future Creation Project, we contribute to the sustainable hosting of events in mountainous regions through events like this. Trail Runners, which plans, produces, and manages the event, will continue to provide opportunities for people to immerse themselves in nature and liberate themselves, helping them move towards a "more authentic life" that has been dormant deep within their hearts.
Currently accepting applications is the DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100 Official Test Run Camp with Gediminas Grinius, taking place on June 13-14 (Saturday and Sunday) in Nagaoka City, Sanjo City, and Kamo City, Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture.
