[Dream Lesson] Report from Nakago Elementary School in Jyoetsu City, Niigata Prefecture

On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, as part of Trail Runners' SDGs project, the "National Mountain Region Future Building Project," we held a "Dream Lesson" at Nakago Elementary School in Jyoetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, as a contribution to the local community around the venue of DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100." The lesson taught students how to turn their passion into a job while remaining in their hometown.

This "Dream Lesson" was implemented as a model project for promoting entrepreneurship education in Niigata Prefecture. Overall producer Matsunaga Hiroaki served as lecturer.

The "Dream Lesson" took place during the second period. First, Matsunaga taught the students tips on how to run on an outdoor trail running course. After that, they went indoors and Matsunaga introduced himself, talked about what trail running is, what inspired him to take it up as a career, what it means to do what you love as a job, what he value, and answered questions from the children and teachers.

Thanks to every one who include teachers, students and all.
